About Claire
She successfully competed at Intermediate level and trained towards grand-prix at home.
She has trained with some of the best top riders and judges such as Stephen Clarke, Nicky Barrett, Debby Lush, Charlotte Lassetter, Gareth Hughes and regularly attends seminars and training events with British Dressage and other representatives for the sport.
Her approach is classical and kind, and she prides herself with achieving harmony between horse and rider.
Claire is a registered trainer with British Dressage and a BD List 4 accredited Judge having successfully fast-tracked. She is currently working toward list 3 accreditation.
In 2011 alone some of Claire's achievements included:
Advanced Medium
- Placed 1st or 2nd in most classes with a double win which received a write up in Horse & Hound.
- Qualified Advanced Medium Winter Regionals
- Scores averaging 65%
PSG
- Qualified Winter Freestyle Music Regionals first time out.
- Consistently placed in PSG tests.
- Scores up to 66%
Inter I
- 2nd place with 65% in her first ever Inter I
- Placed top 3 every test in 2011
- Scores up to 65%
When my daughter first came to Claire for lessons, she had been asked to compete for the riding club young riders dressage team and was only 14 years old with very little dressage experience. We had taken a lovely pony on loan but he had never done any dressage at all! In fact all he had done was hunting and jumping and he was very strong. He was also 19 years Old. Claire was extremely supportive and worked tirelessly to produce them as a successful combination, and I have watched my daughter progress into a super little dressage rider too. Jack is amazing, even at his age his paces have become expressive and he really enjoys his training. They are both competing successfully at elementary level from complete beginners in less than 2 years.

I started having lessons with Claire in September 2016 after losing my confidence following a serious fall from my youngster whilst schooling at home.
Claire has supported and advised me with my return to riding. Week by week my confidence is coming back. Claire reads me and my horse perfectly. She knows when to push us and when we have reached our limit. I would not be where I am now without her help and support.
